Top 7 Things I hate in Video Games

Jul. 24 7:24 PM by Nikole

The vast world of video games offers so many amazing adventures, characters and experiences. But with all the good there has to be some bad, and for some reason the bad likes to show up in ridiculous amounts of games. Here are the top 7 things I hate in video games.

7. Cut Scenes
The perfect game has the right amount of action and story. And just when a good game is getting great they like to throw in this epically long cut scene. Not only is the cut scene insanely long, but it's usually pretty boring, filled with bad voice acting, and oh yeah, it can't be skipped. It's even worse if you know what the cut scene says, like if you have beaten it before, and you still can't skip it!

Guitar Hero IV: World Tour's Set List Leaked

Jul. 24 5:08 PM by FemmeFatale

**This is gunna be a quick post, because I'm on my way downtown for the Pepsi Amp energy World Gaming Tour! (Coverage to be up soon)

GH:IV World Tour's apparent Set List has leaked online for all of our viewing pleasure... I gotta give cred to mah home boy Josh Holliday (DJ on my favorite radio station ever: X 92.9 ) for putting this up on his blog first! You can listen to X 929 online from the main page where it says "Listen Live". It really is an amazing station. A lot of these set list songs play on X! Check it out, and view the blogs! There's some really funny stuff on there.

When Rock Band 2's list leaked, there were a few songs that ended up not being on the official list after all, so who knows about this list, anyways here you go:

Diamond in the Rough :: CSI: Hard Evidence

Jul. 24 9:47 AM by NuyoRiquena

I am a gamer. I like games. That is my declaration. Sometimes, I like games that really don't get a great deal of attention. But much like movies, I am willing to try anything at least once. I have found many special little gems I find quite entertaining that I may not have otherwise even known about. These little diamonds in the rough can be old or new but the one thing they have in common is I gave them a shot despite not being uber popular and ended up liking them, or in some cases falling in love.

I have a confession to make, some games I play and like are for purely selfish reasons, for example, oh maybe achievement points. So I have admitted I am an achievement hunter and there are games that help you to easily rack up the gamer score without cheating. One such game is CSI: Hard Evidence. Released late last year for the Xbox 360 and earlier this year for the Wii, the game can be relatively easy but requires attention to detail. The cases play out much like the television series where the tiniest piece of evidence can be the smoking gun.

Kung Fu Panda and Wall-E :: Movie Review

Jul. 24 2:57 AM by NuyoRiquena

***SPOILER ALERT***

A bit obvious, at this point, that I am a HUGE movie-goer. It is my vice. I even spend the money to see the so-called kiddie movies. So yes, this summer I wanted to see how Kung Fu Panda and Wall-E would hold up next to the blockbusters that were released. I received a special request to give my honest opinions on Kung Fu Panda, so here you go.

Animated movies, especially the G or PG-rated tend do to very in the summer since parents can bring the children. This is good and bad for the industry. Sometimes, garbage is generated for the sake of those precious ticket sales with no regard for the intelligence of the audience. Neither was the case for Wall-E and Kung Fu Panda.

Exclusives Lost, Remake Rumors...What Is SquareEnix Up To?

Jul. 24 2:18 AM by Miz_Calamity

Most of you that visit our site know my video game weakness - RPGs. What is it about these games that get me so excited? Simple..EVERYTHING. My favorite series has to be Final Fantasy, though a small portion of gamers dislike the series. Why has this series continued to flourish and become one of the most known series from the RPG genre? Because it rocks, plain and simple. I know one of the main blows to the PS3 community was the fact that they lost one of their biggest exclusives: Final Fantasy XIII...but is it as bad as some sony fans are making it seem? Or is Square Enix planning on something even better to provide to their loyal fans?

Zero Punctuation Does Age of Conan

Jul. 23 2:46 PM by Navie

To be fair, I got alot of flak when I posted the Zero Punctuation review of Metal Gear Solid 4, alot of fanboys took time out of their lives on the assumption I gave two flying *censored* to send me hate messages. But stick with me, because I am going somewhere with this one, somewhere you will like. Well, if you've been on the site long enough you know I raved about Age of Conan like Funcom was paying me secret wages to do so. Conan and I were lovers for 43 long levels and even though we are separated now, I still care for him. Yahtzee kindly reviewed Age of Conan this week for Zero Punctuation, and I thought I'd post it for those of you who thought posting the MGS4 review was unfair... or if you're like me and would gladly have this man's illegitimate babies.

And for the record, I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Animal Crossing: City Folk

Jul. 21 7:52 PM by Raychul

One of the biggest announcement at the this years E3, in my opinion, was the new Animal Crossing for the Wii. Animal Crossing is a game that becomes an unhealthy obsession to all who play the game. Slowly the game has become more and more accessible online and this next installment will take multiplayer even further, plus adding great new features to both online and offline play.
