Sony's EyePet
Aug. 22Sony is adding a new game to their list of exclusives. It's called EyePet and it takes full advantage of the PlayStation Eye. It was just announced at the Games Convention in Leizpig. EyePet is a virtual pet game and acts as a high tech Nintendogs However rather than dogs you can play with your own pet that looks like a bush baby or a Monchichi.
This looks absolutely amazing. I am not a fan of virtual pet games and haven't been since I had a tamagotchi in the first grade. Sony has stepped up and done something innovative while still appealing to the casual gamer with this game. I admit that this probably won't hold my attention for long, but that in no way means I won't buy it.
Your simian like pet can interact with you in a variety of ways, as seen in the trailer. The game isn't scheduled to be released until Q4 2009.

i remember tamogotchis lol. seems interesting, but i doubt itll be as successful as nintendogs... the DS already appealed the the type of audience that would buy the game, as opposed to the playstation being for different genres of games.
omg tamogotchi's i had one too btw, this looks pretty awesome i wouldn't buy it but it i can see its appeal to some people.
