Sims2: Castaway

As a girl who grew up on the original Sims games (SimAnt, The Sims, Sim Safari, ect..), I really can't pass up chances to play new Sims games.

Sim2: Castaway is a PS2, Wii, and DS game. Although, I've only played the PS2 version.

The goal of the game is to help your Sims survive on an uncharted island. You start the game with the creation of your crew. Disaster strikes and your boat is over turned and your sim is thrown into the ocean with the rest of the sims. You wake up to find yourself on a beach alone. You have to explore, collect, and make sure your sim doesn't starve. In the begining of the game your only companions are three chimps, which you're able to name and interact with, they will eventually start gathering things for you. But in the main quest of the whole game is to help your sim either thrive or find a way home.

The game is kinda slow until you get enough materials(leaves, vines, driftwood, ect..), because once you get to that point you can start building your sim a home. More options open up the more to do in the game, so explore!

I'll be honest here...the only sim games I like are the sim city games.

The Sims 2 Castaway sounds a lot like a video game that is based on Castway... the Tom Hanks movie. That's really cute that you have chimp friends and even cooler that you can name them. The only thing that would make the game even better (from what you've said about it) is if they have a volleyball you can talk to. :P

 

lol Castaway is one of my favorite Tom Hanks movies!! And your right it would be awesome if they gave you a volleyball to name and talk to lol

ive never really gotten that into sims, but i have a ton of friends who play it

 

I used to love the sims...but, EA has this effect on me...they make me love to hate everything they put out after 2002. After that point they stopped trying.

Yeah. I think I did. I didn't like it at first -- because collecting stuff and sleepin' on the ground wasn't exactly the funniest thing in the world. But once you start building stuff, and getting your crew mates back you start getting into the actual story of the game and it gets alot funnier.

hmmmm Do you have Mysims?? cuz I got it... but I think I'm gonna try to return it to my work cuz it didn't seem that fun. Should I get castaway instead?

 

IS THE GAME REALLY ALL THAT?WILL YOU GET BORED PLAYING THIS ONE LIKE ALL THE REST OF THEM!

 

I never payed any attention to this game. I just didn't think it could be any good. It does sound somewhat interesting, so my opnion may change. I'll try it.
