Yeah. CoD4 definitely needs Co-Op support. It also kind of sucks how people playing online with the PS3 version can't have inter-console relationships with Xbox 360 CoD4 players. That's kind of dumb. XBL needs to be free.

you know, i hated that about it as well. but because everything else about the game is simply perfect, you can't help but to love it at the same time. i also wish they would've thrown in a co-op terrorist hunt type of mode like in rainbow six vegas.

maybe they will add co-op when CoD6 comes out. i've heard IW is already working on it. i know that's gonna be sick because it won't come out until the end of 2010. there's something to look forward to :]

i know exactly how you feel... fin an FPS gam, Coop is esential.. if it dont have coop i probably ont get it...

I think COD4 is the most overrated game of the year. Don't get me wrong I thoroughly enjoyed the game but the single player is WAY too short and the story is less than engaging. Plus the no coop. Sometimes the only way my wife lets me play is if she can play too. And it has to be coop cuz she doesn't like me killing her.

The lack of co-op doesn't annoy me as much as the lack of a proper system link. The box says 2-20 player system link, but it only lets you play one on one. That shit's retarded. We were trying to do an 8 player deathmatch, with 4 people on each TV, and there was no way possible to do it. And is there a way to go online with three guests on your account? I don't remember whether we found a way to do that either.
It's been awhile since I've played CoD4.

COD 4 does need a co-op mode.. heck I'd settle for lesser graphics and a co-op mode if that's what it takes. 2-4 player split-screen co-op mode in games that would benefit from it should be standard these days. COD 4 being a modern FPS where you're basically cooperating with your squad mates should have been a no brainer for co-op.

Hey, I'm in Indiana too. Also, Halo 3 does not suck, and PC is the way to go for COD4.

Co-op as a selectable choice should be a standard feature on a lot games by now. Course, most fps games all seem the same to me, so I don't get very excited about them anyway.

COD 4 is an awesome game, it's one of the best FPS's I've played. But it should also have co-op, it would only make the game even better.

Everytime I picture CoD4 in splitscreen, it never seems to work out. My problem with the game is that you kill Russians. I mean, come on. Russians are awesome. Great accent and slick language. W/e, i guess its better than killing Germans for the 457265874236597234 consecutive game. :/

I have to agree there are several things that drew me to actually break down and get a new video card for xmas (a geforce 8400 gs 512 meg ram and yes it sooooo rocks after having onboard video lol) one was the fact r6 vegas supports coop in both terrorist hunt and mission modes plus as jakey said the ability to use cover against walls cars etc plus the repelling adds alot to realism (at least for me anyways) it's not just just the normal run and gun which doesn't take as near the strategy of a game like vegas where you can just run and spray rounds everywhere and rack up kills. trying that with vegas and your likely to get sniped from a building lol..

Hey man, I hear you with this one. I mean, come on. Clearly one of the most beautiful games and yet no co-op.

I think co-op would have been cool, especially online coop (I've only got a PC) but I think that the single-player campaign would not be too good with co-op. Instead, I think it could have used a Terrorist-hunt, Defuse the bomb, etc. mode against AIs in the multiplayer maps (like Rainbow Six, as previously stated). That, and online highscores for Arcade mode, would have made COD4 game the best game ever.

And explanations as to the icons in the server list would have been nice. And, being able to up the resolution without it crashing (I bought it off Steam, that might have something to do with it)

I dunno if you realize... but rainbow six isn't new. lol it's actually over a year old.

and I still think that COD4 is the best game out right now. MUCH better than Rainbow. Only thing that sucks is the no co-op.

The only reason I can come up with about Infinity Ward not adding the "take cover" feature or co-op campaign or co-op online is maybe they just want to have an excuse to make COD 5 ( I hope). Maybe the consoles were pushed to the limit concluding that the systems wouldn't been able to handle those features (co-op campaign and specially co-op online) keeping the clean graphics and smooth frame rate. But who knows why? only they do.

By the way Halo 3 was a glorified piece of mierda. Excuse my spanish, you can really tell they rushed this game it looks nothing like a next-gen game.
