Top 7 Most Overlooked Games

1. Eternal Darkness
I know you guys have heard me talk about Eternal Darkness before, but this is seriously one of the coolest and most original games I have ever played. The game experience is never the same, the play through changes from person to person. If you still own a Gamecube, or even if you own a Wii, I highly suggest picking this game up; you won't be disappointed. I don't want to give up much more info about the game because trying to explain what makes it so cool would ruin the experience for you guys. So just give it a try, it's a dark action/adventure/survival horror game, and it is easily the most overlooked game.

2. Obscure
Obscure was a great co-op survival horror game for the PS2 and original Xbox. It is set in a monster filled high school and it is campy horror fun all the way through. Plus, it's a survival horror you can play with a friend, this way you won't feel so silly when you get so scared. Look for the sequel coming soon to the Wii.

3. Whiplash
Whiplash is a great platform game (on both the PS2 and original Xbox) about two strangely altered animals trying to escape an animal testing lab. The dialogue is well written and the game is filled with hilarious mischief from start to finish.
4. I-Ninja
I-Ninja on the Xbox, PS2 and GC is easily on of my favorite action/platform games, it features a little ninja with an attitude ready to do some serious damage. I recommend this game for anyone of any age; it's a lot of fun and quite challenging at times. Pick it up for only $10 at your local GameStop.

5. Playboy the Mansion
Yeah I know what you're thiking, but Playboy the Mansion really was an awesome sim game. Tell me what other games out there allows you to be the boss of a house full of Playmates, you choose what they where and how to pose as you shoot their layouts and hell, you even get to have as many of them as girlfriends as you want. I enjoyed the hell out of this game and I suggest just giving it a try.

6. Pikmin 2
I think Pikmin 2 for the Gamecube was much overlooked; many people just skipped past it because they had played the first one and didn't need to try the second. I thought Pikmin 2 was far better than the first one and will probably play it over and over till I cannot play it anymore, just listening to those little Pikmin sing is the cutest thing in video game history.

7. Britney's Dance Beat
Ha! Just kidding.

eternal darkness is awesome and one of the oldest GC games...a next-gen remake please...

i agree with your choices! might i also suggest another game - The Haunted Mansion for GC. yeah, it was a movie game...but was completely amazing. it was nothing like the movie except for the mansion part, and it was really innovative. have you ever played it? if not, you ought to! XD

totally agree with you about eternal darkness. a lot of people i talk to haven't even heard of it. some of the things in that game were great, like when it tells you your controller isn't plugged in. anyways, great list. :)

While I have never played Eternal Darkness, my best friend who usually likes all his games cute swears by it as one of the most awesome experiences he ever had on the gamecube. Would love to see a sequel if for just his sake. If I may though, I think that Otogi should be on there. I found that to be one of the most overlooked and underselling games on the original Xbox, a pity Microsoft is probably cutting off bc updates before adding it.

One game I would add is Skies of Arcadia for the Dreamcast. It was probably the most enjoyable RPG I have played since Final Fantasy 6(3). You never seem to hear about it.

eternal darkness... many nights have been spent passing the control around while we purposely try to drive our sanity levels to the point where the walls move, your head falls off, the "volume" goes up while the sound goes down,... we would play this game on surround sound in a basement. i highly suggest this game to anyone who likes a challenge or a scare.
