MAGFest VI (Jan. 2nd-4th) Highlights

MAGFest VI (Music and Gaming Festival) is an amazing event, that mixes video games, video game music, and one GIANT party together. This was my third year going to this event and every year it gets bigger and better. The game room is open 24/7 over the weekend, so it's not uncommon to spend the whole weekend up and playing games. People you'd probably never talk to outside of MAGFest come up to you and start random conversations. The event is very well put together, and for anyone who doesn't mind coming down to the DC area -- I'd really recommend checking out MAGFest VII.
The nice thing about the event is its for every generation of gamer, and every time of gamer from the Rare games, oldschool games, new gen games, table top games, video game music, anime artists, ect..

This year, I didn't have my camera out as much as I wanted so I don't have too many photos from the event itself. I spent the majority of my time at the event in the tournament room.
I competed in the Gears of War Tournament and got stomped :(

The rest of the weekend was kind of a blur, I really wanted to compete in the Call of Duty 4 tournament -- I just didn't get a 4 person team together in time. Probably for the best though, I remember walking into the tournament room and it being that icky male gross heat. Not exactly my favorite feeling in the world.

MAGFEST was a socially active gaming event and i enjoyed every second of it! Winning the 2v2 H3 tourney was great also =] Yea im soo pro! Bunny U are AWESOME =]

I always wanted to play in a tournament..too bad they don't make gears tournaments here...so I'll keep playing my soccer tournaments.

Grrrr. I was totally going to go to Magfest this year, but I forgot until it was too late to take off from work. And I was totally psyched for it for so long, that of course it's my luck that I forgot closer towards the date. Hopefully, I won't be so forgetful next year. :(
