How epic is this? Last night I had one of my usual video game dreams. From time to time I'll dream in video game mode, I don't find this odd since I dream in movie mode too. However, this dream was no ordinary adventure. So the dream was a typical third person shooter. I was in a town and had to shoot these things that I can really only remember as aliens. I also had to save some scientists. So I'm apparently beating the game quite nicely and I'm faced with a choice, which ending do I want? So I chose to get the treasure, whatever it was, and then I got an achievement for it. So I woke up and got some water and pondered to myself, what a weird dream. Then I went back to sleep and I began having the same dream again but this time I consciously chose the other ending so I could get more gamer points. So instead of getting the treasure I went to save the scientists, who were all in a western themed building(the only thing western throughout the whole dream). So I got the points and woke up again and was like "wow this is odd", but not odd enough to keep me up, I quickly fell back asleep. I just thought that was weird.
Is that how important getting achievements are that I want to get as many as I can, even in sleep?
I know friends of mine have dreamt in game mode before, has anyone else?
***The pic is from sometime last week, I fell asleep watching tv I guess. It's so you can better picture me dreaming, it was easier than trying to recreate my dream.

your dog=made of nightmares in that pic. I had a gaming dream 2 nights ago. It was really weird... I was playing a game that kept switching in and out of fps and "destroy all humans" I know it was destroy all humans because for some reason, I had to kill a bunch of furons, because in my dream version of the game, there was a war between different countries on planet furon. My dreams don't require much plot.
i had one dream about the rock spider that i had to kill cuz it was going to till everyone but in the ended i found out i needed the spider to save the world from exploding so therefore i destroyed they world by saving the world
i was so mad
i thought i was doing good
I have this reoccurring dream/nightmare where I'm a Spartan and the Covenant just landed near a preschool and I have to save a bunch of toddlers and myself. There's two other marines with me. I never get to fire a weapon for some reason and someone/something keeps shooting needler rounds at me but misses.
Yeah, a re-occuring counter-strike dream that takes place during a school shooting. When a cop dies a it shows a red name > gun > blue name and vice versa.
My dreams also tend to be quest based, like WoW.
It just depends on what game I am into at the time. If I go on a gaming binge and lose my social life for a few days straight, it gets bad.
I've been dreaming in game mode a lot recently. It's mostly Halo dreams. When I wake up, my thumbs, index and middle fingers are all sore and tingly. I guess I "control" myself with an imaginary controller. lol.
I once had a dream where I was Sheik. I was talking to Link, and I was getting increasingly annoyed with him because he just wasn't getting it. So I had to talk to Navi instead, because she understood what I was trying to tell Link. It was an odd dream.
I had one of the weirdest dreams as a kid.. I dreamed I was alone in my basement and all I could see was the TV in front of me with the picture all snowy, right out of Poltergeist.. I sat down and turned on the NES that happened to be there and Super Mario 2 appeared on the screen. I thought ok, Super Mario 2 is a cool game.. and there was nothing else to do since I couldn't see anything else so I started to play, but whenever I died I would get a jolt of electricity or something that scared the heck out of me, and next thing I knew I was staring at the TV again right when the dream began, I sat down again and turned on the NES to see what would happen, and lo and behold it was Super Mario 2 again, I was like aww crap, but for some reason, I just had to play the game. Whenever I died I'd get a shock and the dream would just repeat itself over and over like groundhog day.. pretty messed..
lol awesome. If I was dreaming about getting achievements, I'd keep falling asleep too. Achievement whores forever!
The two I remeber occured years ago when I first played Super Mario Bros. Mario running through a never ending dungeon and what looked like world1 level2, those are the only instances where video games infiltrated my sleep.
I only dream about videogames when I play waaayy to much...
Hm, I never dream of Video Games. I usually don't remember my dreams either. The most interesting dreams I have are actually nightmares. Well, it's not really nightmares since to me, it's more like I am watching a movie and I always know that nothing in there is for real. I had this one dream a long time ago where one of my classmates from High School was a terrorist and he was keeping everybody else locked in a classroom during a SAT test. The only other thing I remember was that I had to use a rope to get across a river or some other body of water in order to get away from that classroom. After I got away, I took a bus somewhere. Very weird stuff.
Lately I've dreaming that my cousin and I have been Spartans in real-life Slayer matches in random locations...fields, haunted houses... haha
I vaguely remember one or two video game dreams... but my dreams tend to be way out there and don't involve anything I do on a daily basis.
Do you smoke marijuana Tellumendil? I do off an on. When I smoke multiple times a day for, say, a week straight, it seems like I don't dream. When I take a break, I begin to remember them again.
I've had some dreams that are partly based on my real life, and part game. When I was playing The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, I used to have dreams where I'd be in a realistic situation, but text boxes floated in front of people and objects to tell me what they were. Actually, I played Morrowind so much that that actually started happenning while I was awake, too!
