Right, like they were actually going to give us a choice of game or points. I was expecting nothing, it's amazing they gave a game at all. Who cares really, the service was never totally out for me...it was shaky but i could still play.

People always want something for free..and when they get it..they complain its NOT ENOUGH. Be grateful you can even afford to have an xbox, get your pretty face on a website to voice your opinion, and have $50 sitting around every year to play games with...and now you are whining about a free video game thats not good enough. Because you were oh so traumatized and deprived by having to hit the X button on your controller 3 times while you sit in comfort.

I really admire the "gay as aids" comment from the other game girl...trust me I'm going to write IDG about that and if they have a shred of credibility...they won't be letting her represent their company much longer as a "game girl".

I am sure that Britini meant no harm by what she said. It most likely was just a bad choice of words to convey a thought and nothing else but it really came out wrong nonetheless. Anyway, I think that everybody needs to chill out. Let's not make a big deal out of something that was most likely a semantics mistake. As for the free game, this is how I see it. I would much rather get the points and choose whatever I wanted instead if getting a game of their choice but I also think that we should be thankful that we are getting anything at all. Besides, most people have no idea of how big an issue it would be to give 800 points to everybody who has a live account. Remember that some people have multiple accounts and others don't even play on live but they have gamertags anyway. The logistics behind giving everyone 800 points is a huge issue. Believe me when I say that it is much simpler to allow people to download a title for free. Another point here is the fact that by doing things the way they are doing, MS can make this a timed opportunity, as it should make sense to be. There is of course the issue about people who already own the game and that is unfortunate but like I said in the beginning, at least we are getting something for our pains and lets be honest. It wasn't such a big deal to begin with. There also is the last resort. If this free game issue makes anyone that much upset, one can always get a different console and try other services.

Please don't use gay as a insult when writing on this site. I was just reading a Gamer Girl post about immaturity on XBOX Live. It somehow seems relevant to this situation.

What is offencive about "gay as aids." it is a known fact that if you share vaginal fluid or semen with a member of the same sex, and have aids, they will get it too.

Also, gay, as it is typically used in the English language today, doesn't even mean homosexual. It means: Shitty, crappy or sucky, bad, not good. Aids is not good.

Therefore, aids is gay, aids is straight, aids is bad.

Kinda like you arn't very cool, you are a troll, and you need to get out. We all have many attributes. Aids is gay - yet another keen observation made by one of our game girls.

I have actually experience a death in the family due to aids, I have many gay relatives and friends, and the word gay does not offend me, nor does the word aids. You and I both can observe the constant and gradual changes that take place in language. You also should know that she didn't mean gay as aids with an implied "because gay people suck!"

It is not unreasonable to ask someone to quit using the word with negative connotations, sure. But, I would hope a truely reasonable person could just look past it, otherwise you are just causing the those negative vibes to linger about unecessarily.

Uh because that would cost them $100,000,000. Thats just if they did it for gold members only. This way they pay the developer one lump sum to make the game free for a little bit.

Btw the reason xbl is having these issues is due to the fact that the guys who did the original coding for XBL did not anticipate this many people to be using the service. Basically Microsoft has people right now working hard to fix the problem, but its going slow because they arent actually taking the service down to work on it.

I think its called boredom dthunda, lots of boredom. What we need is a war, or just a lot of people dying; otherwise we will continue to take our freedom and relative peace for granted, and complain about meaningless stuff such as this.
