It's that time again. To check out the newest addition to the Cheap Gamer edition. This week, I decided to switch genres to an action RPG game. Kameo: Elements of Power is only $9.99 used at GameStop (10% off with my edge card), and $19.99 new.
You play as Kameo (an elf princess), who has been given the power of transformation by her mother Theena. Her sister, Kalus, who was not given this power, grows jealous. So Kalus has unleashed the ancient curse that held the King Thorn (an evil troll) captive. King Thorn has captured the three Ancestors and the ten Elemental warriors. Kameo must master her new transformation ability and use the elemental powers to save her family from King Thorn, and save the world.
There are many different environmental warriors that Kameo must save. In doing so, she gains the ability to transform into them, and use their powers to help save the world and her family. The warriors are:
Pummelweed - a plant warrior with a mean punch.
Snare - another plant warrior with a sharp bite.
Rubble - a pile of rocks who launches them at various enemies.
Major Ruin - an armadillo who's thick shell will roll over many enemies.
Ash - a red dragon that can shoot fireballs.
Thermite - a small insect that spews bombs.
Chilla - an ice elemental that looks like the game version of the abominable snowman who can throw multiple ice spikes that he carries on his back.
40 Below - a legless ice warrior that breathes ice.
Flex - a water elemental warrior that can stretch his body and grab his enemies from a distance.
Deep Blue - another water warrior that can swim fast and shoot torpedoes underwater.
Kameo is a great RPG that you can play alone or with a friend. It is a blast to explore the magical, wonderful, 3-D environments. Play through the action and master your abilities as you fight enemies and bosses, and use your strategy skills to solve puzzles. Anyone who loves RPG's or the fantasy world will love Kameo: Elements of Power.
