Cheap Gamer: For Gamers on a Budget is your gaming review to video game items that are on sale or anything that won't break the bank. This week in honor of Father's Day coming up, I decided to post a quick review on a few items that would be a great to give to all our Father Gamers out there. Xbox Live 1 or 3 month Gold Subscriptions is $7.99 and $19.99 respectively. They are a great way for your special guy to play with his friends that can't come over when the kids are asleep. So help a Dad out so he can get together with his buds, without leaving the house.
Nyko Xbox 360 Intelligent Remote is $9.99 and is a great buy for all those Dad's who love watching movies along with their Xbox 360. This item is a great buy so that your Dad doesn't have to use his controller to pause a movie.
Is your Dad a FPS or Racing kinda guy? If so, check out these games:
- Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter ($9.99)
- Prey ($9.99)
- X-Men: The Official Game ($9.99)
- Project Gotham Racing 3 ($7.99)
Is your Dad a sports fan?? If so there are plenty of games to get him that won't burn a hole in your wallet. The following used sports games are all for the low price of $9.99:
- NCAA March Madness 07
- NBA Live 07
- FIFA World Cup 2006
- NBA 2K7
- Major League Baseball 2K6
Other great sports games that are even lower are College Hoops 2K7 ($7.99); NHL 2K6, NBA Live 06, NBA 2K6 all for just $5.99; NCAA Football 07 ($4.99); and Madden NFL 06 ($3.99). So choose your sport and let's play some ball with Dad. Maybe you can even let him win a game or two, after all it is for Father's Day!
That 360 Intelligent Remote sounds like a good idea. I don't know about everything else though. My dad just likes old-school games like Mario and shoot em ups. I'll get him something from either XBLA or Wiiware.
