As Nikole reported a while back the long awaited addition to the Pokemon Franchise has finally come out of hiding and we have more information on this sweet looking addition called Pokemon Platinum. Now I know all of you closet Pokemon fans are just as excited about this as a few of us girls here are. So don't be afraid to show your enthusiasm for this title and I promise we won't tell your friends!
More information after the jump.
The latest issue of the CoroCoro magazine features some awesome new information on Pokemon Platinum and this awesome promotional picture for it as well. Now we obviously see some familiar characters: The female trainer from Diamond/Pearl and the Professors Assistant from D/P, but there are a few new characters as well. The art in this promotional ad is simply amazing (this is my artist side talking!!) and despite how I love the usually art style in the pokemon games I do like the fact that this smooths that out and makes it fun and colorful.
Ok I'm done with my artist rant now..sorry about that..but for the more exciting news we have finally got conformation on Shaymin's new Sky Form:
This new form is a Grass/Flying type, height- 0.4m, and its weight- 5.4kg. The artwork in the picture is done by Ken Sugimori.
Also good news for those in Japan: If your picking up Movie Regigigas from the 11th movie - Giratina and the Sky's Bouquet: Shaymin you will be able to transfer it to Pokemon Platinum and catch Registeel, Regice, and Regirock in game!!
There is also confirmation that TWO new, unknown human characters will be introduced into the Platinum story, a new area called "Torn World" will be integrated on the map and Lucas & Dawn get new clothes!! But Barry doesn't...sad day for him.
Now for those of you that aren't Pokemon fans you might see all of this as being really dumb but from what CoroCoro magazine states Platinum is starting to shape up to be a really nice addition to the Pokemon Franchise...for all the fans sake I hope it does. We will keep you Pokemon Fans posted on how this game is doing!!

Awesome! Shaymin's sky form looks cool, and the game sounds great. I can't wait to learn more about the new additions to Platinum. I might rent Giratina and the Sky's Bouquet, although I really don't care as much about the Pokemon show and movies as the games.
Great article Miz Calamity! =)
but sadly still no American release date yet
@Nikole- They will probably announce it at the TGS =] You never know!
Yeah this game looks so fun, well i hope more than the last version of this games but for gods sake how many pokemon's must have a game? i thinks they almost have 1000 pokemon's in total!!!, well i love your's reviews of the games and i like so much the RPG's and i will like to view a review (if its possible) from some tales series these series rock!, love you all girl's continue with this great work! oxoxox.
(sorry for the bad English)
A new pokemon game. I think all the parents in the world are pissed off.
is it the same as diamond and pearl or different?
It's still the 4th generation and in the Sinnoh region, so it's like D/P, but like any 3rd Pokemon title (Yellow, Crystal, Emerald) there are additions since the first two. This one also seems to have a somewhat altered storyline.
@shagi- There are almost 500 pokemon total so yea..half of a 1000 but hey you never know how many more they might add! As for the Tales series my boyfriend got me hooked on them! I will definitely be buying Tales of Vesperia- X360 and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World -Wii so definitely expect reviews on those =] But if there is a specific Tales game you would like reviewed send an email to Tips4GameGirl@gmail.com and I will definitely review it for you!
LOL thanks. Anyway I didn't get Diamond or Pearl so I know nothing about the fourth gen of Pokemon..... but I might still get this when it comes out.
cant wait for this to come out. been a fan ever since Pokemon Yellow
