One of the biggest announcement at the this years E3, in my opinion, was the new Animal Crossing for the Wii. Animal Crossing is a game that becomes an unhealthy obsession to all who play the game. Slowly the game has become more and more accessible online and this next installment will take multiplayer even further, plus adding great new features to both online and offline play.
With Animal Crossing: City Folk hitting stores November 16th this year, I am sure pre-ordering it ahead of time is a must. The game looks identical to the Gamecube and DS version, but the framerate is a lot better which in turns gives the game a much sharper look to things. Also, instead of the usual town, it is now a full blown city; including a hair salon, fashion store, an Auction House, the Happy Room Academy, a theater, and much more. The theater is a great place to go to check out some shows, either alone or with a few friends who you are playing online with over WiiConnect24. The same problem we had with the online multiplayer DS version of if the person hosting the game loses connection then all the players get booted and nothing is saved will still be present, but Nintendo is trying to make up for that with more options and happenings within the multiplayer aspect of the game.
One of my favorite additions is the fact that you will be able to transfer your DS AC character over to City Folk...and ALL of your belongings, but not your bells (money). This announcement alone, makes me very excited...all of my hours and hours of collecting and hard work will not be lost. Also, you will be able to use your Mii's head as a mask for your AC character, I think it looks quite creepy, but to each his own. You will also still be able to design your own shirts, hats, and other accessories. It doesn't stop there tho, this time around instead of only being able to design the front of your shirt, now you can design every last portion from the front, to each individual sleeve and even the back.
I am very excited about this new installment to the Animal Crossing universe. I cannot wait to see how far this game can go. I will see you in Animal Crossing this fall!

Animal Crossing... For hardcore gamers only!!! LOL thank GOD I own a PS3.
i just want the voice chat accessory from the game. not interested in the game itself. i gave it a go on GC and just couldnt get into it. DaBlob, MadWorld, Major Mikes Majestic March, Wario and Sadness (if it hits this fall) are the Wii games w/ my name on them. like am i the only person excited for Major Mikes Majestic March (the team behind the Parappa The Rappa games) lol b/c i see no1 talk about it at all. well this is an Animal Crossing thread so i guess i KINDA got a WII bit off topic :D
they didn't even upgrade the graphics. god nintendo has last its core
Animal Crossing on the Gamecube and DS were great so I'm looking forward to this one. I'm glad the game still retains a simple look, anything more realistic and it wouldn't look right.
What I want to know (and what no one seems capable of telling me), is whether City Folk will include fully-playable NES games like its GameCube predecessor. I could see the Big N withholding that feature due to conflictions with the Virtual Console. But if they decide to throw caution to the wind for once, this'll be a guaranteed addition to my Wii library.
I like it very much! But I prefer to go to this website "blackwhitefriends.com" to know more interesting game, and discuss with more people!!
AGS I agree with you, Nintendo's E3 conference was a slap in the face for hardcore gamers...
Geez people, get over it! E3 is DEAD. TGS is where it's at for the Hardcore Gamers!
Fat Princess pwns animal crossing any day
I want this! And "hardcore gamers" have an xbox 360, ps3 AND a wii ;)
I own a PS3 and a Wii. If I see a game I like for the Wii I buy it same with the PS3. I couldn't choose this consel war. And I would never own an XBox after how they screwed gamers over with the 360. Besides most 360 games come out on the PS3 anyways.
frankly I'd rather blow torch my nipples off and catch SARS than play this game...(just saying)
