Rumors:
-Nintendo Power might be giving us an exclusive look into the new Sonic game. Last month the magazine promised some big news, but most people thought it would be news on Earthbound. This doesn't appear to be the case since new scans are being shown of Sonic himself on the cover. The magazines headline is "Sonic and the Black Knight". There is still no confirmation if this will be the actual cover of the magazine, but speculate we will!
-Some speculation is beginning to emerge on a redesign of the Wiimote. With the announcement of MotionPlus there could be a new WiiMote that will have it included.

"As to looking at whether or not it will be an attachment or built-in -- we're always looking at how hardware should evolve and where we should take it," Eguchi said. "Unfortunately, I don't have a definite direction to give you today, but it's something we'll be looking at."

The Buzz:
-According to an ad in Best Buy's flyer they are changing the ESRB ratings of games. While this is hopefully just a really bad error on their parts, one can't help but wonder it it's not? Can retailers who don't agree with ratings have the right to promote them as they see fit? In the past Best Buy has decided to not sell games to some customers that they felt were actually buying it for someone too young.

Announcements:
-New details about Grand Theft Auto: China Town Wars are emerging. The game has been made on an all new engine. It will take place in the China Town portion of Liberty City. It's due this Winter.
-The Nintendo Wii has officially taken the number one spot in the United States. The Wii has only been out for 20 months and it is estimated to have have sold over 10.9 million consoles. In June alone it has sold 666,000 condoles. Basically it still prints money.
-Epic Games, along with Del Ray have confirmed they will be publishing 3 Gears of War novels. Gears of War: The Battle of Aspho Fields will do on sale on October 28.
