I'm constantly asked what's in the collector's edition of games. Of course they all come with the game, but here is a look at some upcoming games and the special stuff you'll receive for buying the collector's editions. Not all have pictures, but I found a few.
Soul Calibur IV - Soul Calibur t-shirt (black for PS3 users, and white for Xbox 360 users); a coffee table art book; and some sort of exclusive downloadable content.
Madden 2009 20th Anniversary - Contains the full version of Madden NFL 09; full version of NFL Head Coach 09; exclusive Bonus Content; fully playable version of Madden NFL 93; and retro playbooks featuring the best plays from every year of Madden NFL Football history
Saints Row 2 - Embossed metal collector's tin, Exclusive poster, Exclusive art book, Metal money clip, and a Bullet-shaped 512MB USB drive (PS3 will have gold and Xbox 360 will have silver.) containing wallpaper, videos and more.
Fallout 3 - Vault Boy Bobblehead; The Art of Fallout 3, a 100 page hardcover book featuring concept art and commentary from the artists; The making of Fallout 3 DVD, and a Vault-Tec Metal Lunch Box.
Fable II - Bonus disc with a behind-the-scenes video, a Hobbe figure, an Xbox Live trial card and additional in-game content. I cannot find any details on what the in-game content contains, but it will require an Xbox Live account to access it.
Gears of War 2 - Collectible SteelBook DVD case; A Dominic and Maria Keepsake Photo; Beneath the Surface: An Inside Look at Gears of War 2 - a 48-page hardbound book including character profiles, exclusive concept art, and foreword by Design Director Cliff Bleszinski; Bonus DVD including exclusive making-of-the-game video footage, design galleries with audio commentary by Epic Games, and promotional videos including the E3 2008 trailer, "Rendezvous."; and an exclusive gold-plated Lancer Assault Rifle available during online play.

Oooh. Me likey the Gears collection! Yummy!!
**muah**
I want the Fable 2, Gears of War 2, Soul Calibur 4 and Fall Out 3 special additions. So many games coming out this xmas, not enough time and not enough money thanks to university bills :(
i just really hope gears has the normal game package in there, id really hate having a gigantic 2 foot tall box on my stack of 360 games
I must say that the Lunar games on the PS1 also had some cool collectors items that came with them as well. Granted, that wasn't the special edition, that was how ever copy of Lunar, and Lunar 2 came. If I remember correctly that made both games over $70 new.
I have both of them, but I only have the cool collectors items from Lunar 2, because I bought the first one used and got game and case only.
The only one that looks good is the Fallout 3, while still being just a metal box and what not it's different in it's own way. Gears of War 2 I think I'll pass. It looks like the same stuff from Gears of War one and that was a big waste IMO.
The Fable 2 game content if I'm not mistaken is the gambling/casino mini games. You get access to it starting in August and can start build up in game money before the game releases. If you don't pre-order it still comes with the game, but I think that's just a pre-order special anyways. No real additional content for the LE.
collectors editions are awesome but Soul Calibur fails the others are good like the fallout 3 one
imz hungre for tha Zeoul KCalibeur IV cuatro quatre G5B8@8 4 tyYi. i want one.

I only get Collector's Edition of games if teh game is worth it. Haven't bought 1 in a while, don't wanna dish out 100 bucks for a game. >.>
I am a sucker for collector editions of games.
My favorite so far is the GTA IV Collector's Edition. It had the most collectables in it to date.
