Animal rights activist group PETA named Fable 2 the most animal-friendly game in 2008...and it makes me wonder if anyone in this decision even played the game. Sure, in Fable 2 you could eat tofu and you had a doggie friend; but what about all the animal cruelty that was featured in the game, and players were awarded with achievements for performing these acts? Huh, PETA? No one told you about that...did they?

After weeks without having Internet, I've finally made it back to the world of wide webs. Thank goodness, too, cause it turns out that the folks over at Newsarama have released the first issue of the Dead Space comic for free. The story takes place before your arrival in the video game and shows what happens aboard the Ishimura before you start blowing off limbs with your decked out line gun. (and jumping everytime a necromorph busts out of a vent somewhere)

2K Games is giving gamers everywhere a $10 coupon for select games. Not a bad deal if you ask me. If you still do not have BioShock, now is the time. I would also recommend the Civilization titles, those are always good.

Guitar Hero Fans and Metallica fans are united in the expectations of the next Guitar Hero to be released. Guitar Hero: Metallica is set to have some outstanding features and songs. Hopefully it will fulfill expectations better than the Guitar Hero: Aerosmith version did.
Anyone who has played Left4Dead knows there is nothing more attractive than the gurgling sounds that a Boomer makes. To follow suit in the Boomer's lovely sounds are the equally if not more becoming projectile vomiting that occurs when you're in it's presence. Well it seems I'm not alone in thinking that the Boomer is a hot piece of Zombie ass, L4D PC gamer DarkSider1972 has uploaded a skin for the PC version of the game that really accentuates the Boomer's good side. The skin puts the Boomers in a thong, yes, a thong. The red thong reads, "Sexy Beast". The pack is free but for PC versions only.
I would be the proudest mom if this little girl was my daughter. This little girl knows more about video games than most people in the industry and therefore is the coolest 1 year old EVER!

I am sure everyone is familiar with the media research company Nielsen; well this year they researched which gaming consoles received the most love in 2008 and the results are quite interesting.
These are not my numbers or results, they are from the Nielsen Company. If you do not like the results, please don't shoot me. :)

Is it the Wii that causes people to be stupid, or is it the fact that since the Wii is marketed to casual gamers that these so-called "noobs" are just uneducated on how things work in the industry. I think it's a case of both; I think most humans are stupid, and when you give someone a chance to be laughably ignorant, they will take it with open arms. The stupidity of people never ceases to amaze me. Here are two heart-warming stories about two incredibly stupid people, and their Wii's.
